The end of the road...
|
After almost 15 years in business, we have decided to close down EuShells.com.
The reason behind the decision is that providing mainly IRC services is no longer a business with a huge market potential, and the expenses and downsides of running the business trumps the benefits. That as well as the lack of time maintaining servers and services and maintaining a customer base.
Furthermore, problems with PayPal deciding to close our business account after 14 years due to the extreme risks involved (really? few euros/month are our primary transfers) and after fighting with them for months without even getting anywhere, we have decided to give up.
We would like to thank everybody ever involved with EuShells.com, that being staff, partners or our very valued customers. We couldn't have done it without you!
We wish all the best for everybody in the future. Take care.
NB: Expired accounts have been terminated or will be in the very near future.
Accounts that still have an active subscription are still active for the time being.
mIRC hosting will also be shut down in the near future. Please make sure you copy out any files you might need. |

Scheduled maintenance 2017-02-03

We have scheduled maintenance this upcoming Friday at 23:00 CET.
We expect the maintenance to last until around 1:00 CET, but no longer than 4:00 CET.

Scheduled maintenance update
|
The scheduled maintenance took a bit longer than expected due to some hardware issues.
Replacing the bad part took longer than expected, but the issue should have been resolved.
Most services was back up again at 3:30.

Scheduled network maintenance 2015-08-08 00:01 - 03:00

Our internet provider will perform maintenance the night between Friday (7th of August) and Saturday (8th of August). It is estimated to take less than 3 hours, and will cause some network drops during the maintenance.
We might schedule some hardware replacement before the network maintenance, if we get the spare parts in time.
That means our equipment will be restarted again.

We suffered from some hardware issues earlier today, which caused some downtime.

Scheduled maintenance 2015-06-14
|
We will be performing emergency maintenance this Sunday 14/6-2015 on all our equipment.
Our servers will be moved psysically, and a few hardware upgrades will be done.
It is estimated to take place from 20:30 - 22:30 CEST.

Emergency maintenance 2015-04-20 23:59 - 04:00

Due to emergency power maintenance, our equipment will experience some dropouts during the above period.
No servers should be restarted during the maintenance, only networking equipment is affected.
We expect only short delays of <10 minutes during that period.

Defective core router at internet provider *UPDATE*
|
Our internet provider has suffered from a defective router, which means our services have been unavailable or unstable since 15:40.
It seems like our services died completely 16:25.
They are working as fast as they can to restore functionality.
Unfortunately the router caused a major impact on their network, hence causing an extended period of downtime.

Follow-up on network issues
|
The network problems during the week, especially last night and this evening has been identified.
We are still not sure why it happens, only what causes it.
We might experience some network outages tomorrow (Monday), when the issue is debugged.

Network issues
|
We have suffered from network issues from 9:15 until 13:15 (GMT+1). A smaller attack should have been filtered, but for some reason our entire network went black, and not until 13:15 was it fixed.
It was a problem caused by our provider, and we had to await their solution.
We will try to find out what caused such a long Network problem so we can avoid it from happening again in the future.

Web1 MySQL database problems *Update 1*
|
We are currently suffering from some problems on the MySQL server on web1.eushells.com.
Update 1 at 11:20:
Unfortunately we felt the only data safe way to recover all data was to recover from our backup from last night at 2:38.
That means changes from 2:38 until around 8:00 will be gone due to the rollback.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the data roll back. |

Unexpected downtime
|
Last night 16/8-2014 from around 00:40 to 6:30 we suffered from som unexpected downtime.
There was a very short planned router maintenance, but things did not turn out as expected.
New router hardware had to be put in to replace the current equipment, and that unfortunately took a while.
Everything should have been up again since around 7:00 this morning.

Shell1 downtime
|
Due to technical issues with shell1 combined with holiday season, we suffered from about 8 hours if downtime on shell1.
It is back online now, but you might need to /bconnect on your psyBNC account or log in and restart your processes from the shell if you have such.

Downtime
|
We just suffered from roughly 1 hour of downtime due to power maintenance.
Our carrier failed to inform us and our provider about the maintenance, and since not all equipment has redundant power supplies, we suffered from some technical issues.
